Masters Results 2018

British Masters National Competition Long Course
8th – 10th June 2018
Plymouth Life Centre
Plymouth, Devon

It is with great delight and full of praise for those who had the foresight to create the opportunity for swimmers from all Kent masters clubs to compete for the first time at a National completion, and did so with great success.
9 swimmers from 3 Kent clubs came together to produce PB’s, take on multiple relay swims in addition to their own individual efforts resulting in Kent Weald Swim Squad reaching a fantastic 12th place nationally, from over 190 participating clubs. Our position was equal to Guilford City! In doing so we made many new friends, and received lots of enquiries of how to join for our next outing!
Our swimmers managed a grand total of 5 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals, and 3 Bronze medals.
Our top performing swimmers was RTW Masters swimmer and Tonbridge coach James Pearson with over 9 medals, stepping up for team relays, and smashing Kent records ….all without complaint! An inspiration for all – Swim for Life!

Our relay teams earning valuable points, and featured all 9 swimmers, producing results in rapid fire order, in fact in one case, back to back relays with the latter being a 4x200m Free, for which we recorded Silver! Our relay teams received 6 points for a win as well as a Gold medal!

This was truly a team effort, with memorable moments and KWSS finished joint 12th in the points table of top clubs.
